Music

For the music, we researched some songs on YouTube.

We really liked this one:
At first we were going to base our score on this example but then we decided to go with a different 'feel'.

We created the song on a software called 'Reason'
With this software, we were able to create our score. There were many instruments to choose from which was good for us to explore and experiment, we decided to use ‘music box’ because it suited our ‘thriller’ and ‘eerie’ theme. We made up a melody on a synthesizer which could be inserted into a computer and then we copied and pasted that melody to make a continuous song. We thought it sounded rather repetitive so we experimented with a higher octave and different notes. When we finished our score, we recorded the song using software called ‘AV voice changer 4.0 diamond’ so we could convert it into an mp3 file.
Near the end of the film opening, we added a heartbeat sound. We were not able to record someone’s heartbeat so we found that particular sound online; it was copy right free so we were allowed to use it.
At the end, we recoreded me screaming using a voice recording app on an iPhone. We did this so the audience would feel 'thrilled' and wonder what happened to this girl at the end.
